Labour Relations Specialist at Paladin Security supporting Ontario branches with employee and labour relations activities. Interpreting agreements and fostering relationships with union partners.
Responsibilities
Interpret provisions of **collective agreements** and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and standards.
Advise and consult with managers on employee relations issues, including **attendance management**, **accommodations**, and **workplace investigations**.
Manage end-to-end **grievance handling**, including mediations, arbitrations, and hearings at the **Human Rights Tribunal** and **Ontario Labour Relations Board**.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date **grievance and case files**.
Develop and maintain productive relationships with **Union Locals**.
Draft and review employment correspondence, including **disciplinary actions** and **termination letters**.
Conduct **labour relations training sessions** and provide policy guidance to management.
Monitor and communicate key **labour relations metrics and trends**.
Stay current on **employment legislation** and best practices.
Travel to various branch locations as required.
Requirements
Minimum **2 years of experience** in labour relations within **unionized and non-union environments** in a medium to large organization.
A **degree** in **Social Sciences**, **Human Resources**, or **Labour Relations**, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong knowledge of **collective agreement interpretation**, grievance administration, and dispute resolution processes.
Excellent **communication**, **negotiation**, and **interpersonal** skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
**Legally eligible to work in Canada.**
**CHRP** or **CHRL designation** (asset).
