About the role

  • Provide professional HR coaching and advice to selected business groups, ensuring HR decisions meet legislation and company values
  • Work in collaboration with peers to provide support and professional guidance related to human resources management
  • Participate in management committees of assigned groups and ensure decisions align with business strategies and values
  • Assist with investigations, support managers in conflict management and other employee relations issues
  • Participate in local or national projects and deployment of corporate initiatives and programs
  • Search, analyze data and recommend solutions to tactical and operational HR issues
  • Facilitate focus groups, training workshops and information sessions for employees and/or managers
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Collaborate with managers on the HR cycle and make salary recommendations based on compensation best practices
  • Support Senior Human Resources Consultants and Senior Human Resources Business Partners in mandates and contribute to HR process improvement

Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree with a Human Resources specialization or a combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Human Resources Consultant role (at least 2 years focused on employee relations in a high-volume work environment)
  • Proven ability to quickly establish and cultivate effective working relationships with business partners at all levels and influence decisions
  • Flexible, agile, and resilient approach to working in a dynamic ever-changing work environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence and relational ease with all hierarchical levels
  • Proven track record of critical and strategic thinking to solve operational and/or complex problems
  • Ability to evolve in a multi-site, matrix organization and in a constantly evolving environment
  • Strong communication, influencing, analytical, synthesis and interpersonal skills
  • Technical, up-to-date expertise in Human Resources and employment legislation
  • Knowledge in talent management, performance management, employee relations, disability management, engagement, compensation
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • CHRP and/or CHRL designation completed or in progress is an asset
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
  • No Canadian work experience required; must be eligible to work in Canada
  • Temporary secondment/contract opportunity for approximately 10 months
