Responsibilities
Partner with U.S. payroll vendor (e.g., ADP, Paychex) to process semi-monthly payrolls, ensuring accuracy of time, earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings.
Validate and reconcile payroll data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and special payments.
Prepare audit reports and respond to employee payroll inquiries promptly.
Coordinate new-hire documentation, background checks, and employment verifications.
Ensure timely creation of HRIS, payroll, and benefits profiles.
Serve as first-line HR contact for employee inquiries via ticketing/service desk systems.
Track and communicate effective dates, approvals, and downstream impacts.
Manage exit processes, including final pay calculations, benefits termination, and retrieval of company property.
Maintain accurate employee files and digital records in accordance with U.S. federal and state requirements.
Requirements
Experience: 5-7 years in HR operations, payroll, or benefits administration, supporting U.S. employees.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, Dayforce) and advanced Excel skills.
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, excellent English communication (written and verbal), and comfort with U.S./India time zone overlap.
Knowledge of U.S. federal and state payroll compliance (FLSA, tax rules).
