About the role

  • HR Administrator supporting recruitment, health and safety, and employee relations functions for a unionized manufacturing environment in Calgary. Fulfilling HR responsibilities within established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the HR Manager with various functions, including recruitment, health and safety, employee relations, file stewardship, WCB administration, and training
  • Performance will be measured by the extent to which responsibilities have been fulfilled
  • Submit the monthly billing statement for group benefits to Payroll
  • Liaise with insurance carriers, WCB, and employees regarding claims
  • Monitor employee attendance and prepare accurate and timely attendance reports
  • Assist with the investigation and documentation of grievances and complaints
  • Assist with timely submission of WCB forms and Accident Investigation Reports

Requirements

  • College Diploma and 3-5 years’ experience, preferably in a unionized manufacturing environment
  • Some post-secondary courses in human resources
  • 5-7 years’ experience, preferably in a unionized manufacturing environment
  • Computer literate
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Experience with filing systems and digitization
  • ADP experience is an asset
