About the role

  • Lead on short-term sickness absence management, ensuring processes are followed and supporting line managers in resolution.
  • Contribute to long-term absence management by providing casework support and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support absence reporting and escalation, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment administration, including job postings, scheduling interviews, and issuing offer letters.
  • Partner with managers to draft and publish role adverts that align with company branding.
  • Manage candidate communication and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey.
  • Support the use of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment reporting.
  • Conduct pre-employment checks and right-to-work compliance.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities such as induction scheduling, documentation, and systems setup, ensuring a smooth transition for new starters.
  • Conduct compa-ratio analysis and support pay benchmarking to inform reward decisions.
  • Provide input into competitive pay and benefits reviews (UK and international).
  • Support benefits administration by managing employee queries, enrolments, and changes.
  • Ensure smooth benefit renewals processes by coordinating with providers and employees.
  • Monitor and report on benefits usage, uptake, and employee awareness.
  • Generate bonus/commission letters and manage related systems input.
  • Support annual pay review processes through data preparation, workflow management, and letter generation.
  • Provide support for change programmes, restructures, and new processes by maintaining records, drafting documentation, and ensuring compliance.
  • Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day employee queries and concerns, supporting managers in handling informal employee relations issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of ER cases, absence, and performance discussions.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, ensuring fair and consistent application across the business.
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, feedback sessions, and action planning.
  • Support delivery of HR-driven engagement campaigns and recognition activities.
  • Work with the HR Operations team to ensure HRIS workflows are maintained and updated in line with policy changes.
  • Track engagement trends and provide data-driven insights to improve employee experience.
  • Support the wider HR team with delivery of responsibilities across the RACI, ensuring consistency and effective collaboration.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of HR processes across absence, reward, benefits, and HR systems.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and approachable working style.
  • Excellent communication skills for dealing with employees and managers at all levels.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (HiBob or similar) and data management.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a comparable role.
  • CIPD Level 5 desired but not essential.
