About the role

  • Identify interest in DroneDeploy from key accounts and conduct cold outreach to schedule qualified discovery meetings for Account Executives.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly goals by generating qualified sales opportunities through outbound prospecting and inbound lead qualification.
  • Work in partnership with Account Executives to build account strategies, territory plans, and outreach campaigns.
  • Research intent signals to find companies considering our products or similar solutions; use data enrichment tools and personalised outreach.
  • Provide an excellent customer experience to prospects as they move through the qualification process.
  • Qualify leads using frameworks such as SPICED, MEDDIC, BANT or other sales methodologies.
  • Schedule and coordinate discovery meetings between Account Executives and decision-makers.
  • Maintain strong outreach activity (calls, texts, personalized emails, video meetings, and LinkedIn messages).
  • Provide feedback on prospecting workflows, sales tools, marketing resources, and campaign results.
  • Work with sales and marketing to plan and deliver pipeline-generating events, including trade-shows and field days.
  • Assist Account Executives with quotations and run smaller sales opportunities as needed.
  • Report to the Sr Manager of APAC and collaborate cross-functionally with industry sales teams and marketing.

Requirements

  • Have previous cold outbound sales or sales development experience (2+ years).
  • Demonstrated success in achieving quota as a BDR or similar role in a SaaS or sales environment.
  • A consistent track record of performance in creative, strategic outreach via personalized emails, phone calls, texts, and videos.
  • Experience in using AI and sales tools such as Gemini, ChatGPT, Glean, Salesforce, Gong, Zoominfo, LinkedIn/Sales Navigator, and Slack.
  • Self-aware, coachable, and able to implement feedback in the moment and to overcome challenges.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment, with superior organisational and time-urgency skills.
  • Intellectually curious and open to bringing your own unique flavor to the BDR role.

  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for events and trade shows (25%).
  • Work Model: Hybrid. Remote and office-based working in North Sydney up to 3 days per week; flexible hours to meet APAC/US/UK teams.
