Responsibilities
Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Provide administrative and accounting support to the Payroll Department.
Manage employee data integrity and assist in process improvements.
Serve as a resource for payroll inquiries across the organization.
Process and verify payroll including new hires and terminations.
Maintain and audit payroll records, ensuring accurate processing of deductions, timecards, and employee leave balances.
Support quarterly and annual payroll activities, including W-2 reviews and corrections.
Research, resolve, and provide prompt responses to payroll-related inquiries.
Contribute to process optimization and documentation of payroll procedures.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) preferred but not required.
Proven experience as a payroll specialist, payroll administrator, or in a similar role.
Minimum of 5 years of multi-state payroll experience supporting large employee groups.
Strong working knowledge of payroll tax regulations, garnishments, and leave tracking.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information.
