About the role

  • Payroll Administrator responsible for bi-weekly payroll of 2000+ employees at Astrana Health. Ensuring compliance and efficiency in payroll processes with HR collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of bi-weekly payroll processing for 2000+ employees across multiple entities in the U.S.
  • Maintain and update timekeeping systems; coordinate with supervisors and managers to ensure timely and accurate submission of time records.
  • Oversee federal, state, and local tax reporting to ensure compliance with all regulations and filing requirements.
  • Handle new payroll state registrations to ensure compliance when paying employees in new states.
  • Collaborate closely with the HR Operations team to ensure accurate and complete payroll submissions, maintaining high standards of payroll management.
  • Review and audit payroll processes to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Provide payroll and compensation reporting to support ad hoc management analysis.
  • Support accounting with payroll-related matters as needed.
  • Assist with other ad hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have 3+ years of payroll experience; healthcare payroll experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) a plus
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce highly accurate work
  • Solid understanding of payroll best practices, tax requirements, and how payroll transactions impact the general ledger and reporting
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment

  • The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $65,000 - 78,000 annually.
