Payroll Administrator responsible for bi-weekly payroll of 2000+ employees at Astrana Health. Ensuring compliance and efficiency in payroll processes with HR collaboration.
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of bi-weekly payroll processing for 2000+ employees across multiple entities in the U.S.
Maintain and update timekeeping systems; coordinate with supervisors and managers to ensure timely and accurate submission of time records.
Oversee federal, state, and local tax reporting to ensure compliance with all regulations and filing requirements.
Handle new payroll state registrations to ensure compliance when paying employees in new states.
Collaborate closely with the HR Operations team to ensure accurate and complete payroll submissions, maintaining high standards of payroll management.
Review and audit payroll processes to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
Provide payroll and compensation reporting to support ad hoc management analysis.
Support accounting with payroll-related matters as needed.
Assist with other ad hoc projects as assigned.
Requirements
Must have 3+ years of payroll experience; healthcare payroll experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) a plus
Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce highly accurate work
Solid understanding of payroll best practices, tax requirements, and how payroll transactions impact the general ledger and reporting
Experience working in a fast-paced environment

Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where the expectation is to work both in office and at home on a weekly basis.
The total compensation target pay range for this role is: $65,000 - 78,000 annually.
