About the role

  • General Manager overseeing Water Center operations in Tanzania, focusing on guest experiences, logistics, staff management, and partner development.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all operations, including scheduling, logistics, inventory, global shipping and customs processes for WTW Filter Build and Water Center activities.
  • Ensure high service standards and develop immersion experiences and workshops that inspire people to get involved.
  • Recruit, train, and develop an inspiring team to host guests and facilitate workshops.
  • Prepare and manage budgets and financial reporting.
  • Maintain partner relationships to develop a tourism network.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a similar role, ideally in global tourism or high-end lodge setting.
  • Proven leadership within the tourism sector.
  • Exceptional cross-cultural understanding and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities, revenue and management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or related field.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for logistical delays.
  • Must be fluent in English.
