About the role
- Utility Analyst supporting utility billing operations across apartment communities at CLS Living. Collaborating with teams to ensure accurate billing and enhance resident experience.
Responsibilities
- Review monthly utility billing data for accuracy and completeness across multiple communities.
- Identify discrepancies, unusual charges, or billing variances, and assist in resolving them.
- Support the processing of resident utility charges and account adjustments when needed.
- Assist with reviewing and reconciling past-due balances or unapplied payments.
- Partner with on-site teams to research and resolve utility billing questions.
- Assist with billing inquiries related to move-ins, move-outs, and resident account activity.
- Provide timely research and support to ensure a positive resident experience.
- Work with third-party utility vendors to investigate billing discrepancies or account issues.
- Monitor utility billing trends and identify opportunities for improved accuracy or efficiency.
- Help improve and maintain documentation for utility billing processes and procedures.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in utility billing, property management operations, accounting support, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple teams.
- Experience with Entrata or a similar property management system is a plus.
- Proficiency with Excel or data analysis tools is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and Property Management software (Entrata).
