About the role

  • Analyst handling federal tax obligations and direct taxes for UOL, a leading digital content company. Engaging in compliance, reporting, and supporting tax-related projects.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file federal, state, and municipal ancillary tax obligations.
  • Prepare and submit Central Bank (BACEN) filings.
  • Perform registration updates with government authorities.
  • Support tax-related system parameterization and configurations.
  • Provide support during tax inspections and audits.
  • Respond to audit inquiries.
  • Monitor tax legislation and regulatory changes.
  • Monitor and control federal, state, and municipal tax clearance certificates (CNDs).
  • Be responsible for managing federal, state, and municipal tax account balances.
  • Participate in specific tax-related projects (system updates, new government-requested reports, and support for new business initiatives).
  • Monitor and follow up on tax consultations and inquiries: federal: DEC (Electronic Tax Domicile); inbox, current account, tax status, decision orders, and others.
  • State: DEC (Electronic Tax Domicile), inbox, and ICMS current account.
  • Municipal: DEC (Electronic Tax Domicile), inbox, and current account.
  • Monitor and control negative certificates (CNDs) at federal, state, and municipal levels.
  • Handle openings and closures of establishments and perform registration updates at the federal, state, and municipal levels.
  • Provide support to other areas within the group.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Law, or Economics.
  • Experience with calculation of PIS/COFINS and withholding taxes at source (IR, PCC, INSS, and ISS).
  • Experience filing federal, state, and municipal tax obligations.
  • Experience with parameterization and configuration of tax rules for calculation of direct taxes and ancillary obligations in ERP/SAP.
  • Knowledge of tax offsets/compensations and control of federal tax credits.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with accounting analysis and income statement (DRE).
  • Experience with registration updates at federal, state, and municipal levels.
