Responsibilities
Coordinate and execute employee engagement programs and activities to enhance workplace culture.
Support internal communications initiatives, including Monthly News Round-Ups and Quick Updates.
Assist with committee operations, such as Joint Health & Safety Committee monthly inspections/ first aid kit checks, taking meeting minutes, and follow through action plan execution.
Contribute to the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding/offboarding process, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate/ staff experience.
Monitor the HR General inbox, providing prompt and accurate responses to employee/support personnel inquiries to maintain high service standards.
Update People & Culture Admin manual for business continuity purposes.
Provide key support for the implementation and rollout of People & Culture strategic projects.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the People & Culture team.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Human Resources Management field
Desire to advance your career in Human Resources field with demonstrated ability to deliver, to engage others and to demonstrate strong motivation toward the work
Understanding of HR principles and practices and relevant Canadian employment laws including the ESA, Human Rights legislation and the OHSA
Strength in crafting compelling content for internal communications and employer branding initiatives
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
