About the role

  • Network Operations Transport Professional maintaining and operating mobile and fixed network systems. Providing level 2 and 3 support and training teams at TIM.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing maintenance and specialized operations on primary mobile and fixed network systems, providing Level 2 and Level 3 support for corrective activities in TIM's Transport network.
  • Support the technical training and upskilling process for monitoring and Level 1 remediation teams, and participate in the automation of monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Diagnose and resolve simple and complex faults in transport protection, routing and resilience protocols.
  • Interact with 3rd-level Support, Engineering, OSS and Vendors as required.
  • Perform interventions at the following layers: BBIP: Access, Aggregation and Core; Routers: PE, Edge, Access, Shadow, Edge Core, Outer and Inner Core; Switches: Aggregation, Access and Distribution; UBB: MSAN, access/distribution Service Routers and BRAS; WiFi: AP up to WLC; Multi‑service Metro Full IP MPLS Network: Access, Aggregation, Distribution and Core.
  • Perform interventions on equipment such as PDH, PTN, SDH, NG‑SDH, WDM, ROADM, Metro Ethernet and related systems.
  • Participate in projects, processes, tools and validation (acceptance testing) of new solutions.
  • Prepare incident reports, analyses and inputs for Solutions Management.
  • Train Level 1 and Level 2 teams to standardize and elevate knowledge across the area.

Requirements

  • Availability to work shifts; 5x2 schedule with weekend on‑call/standby.
  • Knowledge of software and hardware, Linux and Windows; knowledge of network design and architecture.
  • Knowledge of fiber optics, reference levels and test instruments.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement.
  • Experience with transmission technologies such as PDH, PTN, SDH, NG‑SDH, WDM, ROADM, Metro Ethernet and related technologies.
  • Experience with data protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, VoIP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EAPS, xSTP, Metro Ethernet, UBB and related protocols.
  • Preferable knowledge of the OSS tools used by the company.
  • Preferable knowledge of mobile networks (2G, 3G, 4G) and VAS.
  • Preferable certifications in the field.
  • University degree (completed).
