NOC Engineer responsible for managing network and infrastructure services at Kocho. Monitoring and troubleshooting server performance for optimal client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Monitor the health and performance of server and network devices using RMM based tools.
Analyze events and incidents that occur on the network/servers/systems and determine their root causes and impacts.
Perform 1st and 2nd line troubleshooting and incident response on the network systems/Servers and escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams or vendors.
Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to Windows/Linux/Unix systems and services using diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.
Carry out maintenance activities such as backups, updates, patches, and security audits on Windows/Linux/Unix systems.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation and reports on Windows/Linux/Unix system performance and status.
Collaborate with other system engineers and stakeholders to provide technical support and guidance on Network/windows matters.
Track and document all issues and resolutions in detail using a ticketing system.
Report incidents and problems to management and provide recommendations for improvement.
Research and evaluate new network technologies and solutions.
Maintain technical documentation and network diagrams.
Requirements
Microsoft Azure/365 or related Certifications
Professional certification (e.g. CCNA, CCNP) or equivalent experience
At least 2 years of experience in network administration or operation
In-depth knowledge of network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and standards (e.g. IEEE 802.11)
Proficient in network operating systems (e.g. JUNOS, Cisco IOS)
Advanced skills and experience in Windows Server Management and troubleshooting (e.g. Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, Windows Updates deployment)
At least 1 year of experience in Linux/Unix server management
Good knowledge of Unix operating system management (e.g. Linux, Solaris, AIX) and commands (e.g. ls,grep, chmod)
Experience with Palo Alto/Juniper and Meraki networking and firewall equipment
Familiarity with Azure networking, vWAN, Express Route and SD WAN technology
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
