About the role
- Core Network Operations Professional responsible for maintenance and operation of Packet Core network elements. Involves specialized network services and collaboration with engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform specialized-level maintenance and operation of network elements and services in the Packet Core network (EPC, vEPC, 5GC, internal DNS and Recursive DNS);
- Analyze and execute configuration requests (MOP) and resolve medium- and high-complexity issues;
- Handle corrective maintenance tickets for network elements within scope;
- Perform acceptance of new network elements and services (ATP and PQR);
- Ensure, together with the monitoring team, the deployment and proper functioning of monitoring integrations;
- Provide support and manage the deployment and activation of engineering projects;
- Support the engineering team in solution or equipment validations within the network scope;
- Analyze and resolve faults related to developed and implemented configurations and support network failures detected during normal production;
- Work on-call and in emergency shifts according to the area's schedule;
- Execute scheduled activities during maintenance windows (between 00:00 and 06:00);
- Develop scripts and processes for automation to increase efficiency and reduce task execution time;
- Participate in defining and improving internal processes, identify opportunities and implement automations in the area's routines and processes;
- Prepare operational procedures and technical documentation, and deliver internal training to support and promote knowledge transfer within the Operations teams.
Requirements
- Support and operation of elements that make up the EPC, vEPC, Huawei 5GC and F5 DNS (iDNS and Recursive DNS);
- Strong troubleshooting experience on Packet Core elements (low and medium complexity issues);
- Familiarity with monitoring tools Zabbix, Nagios and Grafana;
- Proficiency in protocols TCP/IP, STP, DNS, Diameter and HTTP;
- Desired experience developing scripts and automated solutions to increase efficiency and reduce task execution time;
- Intermediate knowledge of Linux, databases and SQL;
- Intermediate knowledge of the Python programming language;
- Intermediate English;
- Availability to work shifts (5x2 schedule) with weekend on-call;
- Completed higher education (Bachelor's degree).
