About the role

  • Business Development Manager responsible for managing key accounts and driving sales growth in the ready-mixed concrete industry. Leading teams and ensuring customer satisfaction across projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase ready-mix concrete sales and market share across multiple market segments.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with contractors, developers, and infrastructure projects.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and key decision-makers.
  • Prepare and negotiate quotations, contracts, and pricing in line with company policies.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing dynamics.
  • Lead, train, and motivate the sales teams to achieve targets.
  • Set sales targets and KPIs; monitor performance and take corrective actions.
  • Participate in regular sales meetings and assist performance review.
  • Coordinate with production, dispatch, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
  • Support major project execution from tender stage through completion.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and periodic sales reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and contractual obligations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • 5–10 years of experience in ready-mix concrete or construction materials sales
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of concrete products, mix designs, and construction practices
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and people management abilities
  • Customer-focused with problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze market data and develop strategic plans
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems
