About the role

  • Lead People Leader Impact Strategy to cultivate high-performing teams for Smith+Nephew's organizational success. Drive talent development and accountability across leadership levels in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop a comprehensive, enterprise-wide People Leader Impact Strategy.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify capability gaps.
  • Develop leadership development roadmap and ongoing capability building.
  • Work with Global Rewards to define recognition and accountability mechanisms.
  • Implement People Leader Dashboard to monitor metrics and progress.
  • Coordinate a multi-disciplinary working group for clear communication and engagement across leader levels.

Requirements

  • Proven capability in leadership development strategy, organisational effectiveness, or enterprise culture transformation.
  • Strong influencing skills, with experience operating at ExCo and SLT levels.
  • Diagnostic and needs assessment expertise.
  • Strong understanding of leader capability models, leadership development, and behavioural frameworks.
  • Experience in designing or deploying leader assessment solutions and dashboards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder strategic programmes.
  • Expertise in change management and communication strategies.
  • Enterprise‑wide thinking; able to align interventions to strategy and forward‑looking skills needs.
  • Confident facilitator and communicator.
  • Bias for action, clarity, and accountability—mirroring the desired leadership culture.
