UX Researcher driving user experience research and insights to inform business goals at Youse. Leveraging qualitative and quantitative methods to enhance digital insurance experiences.
Responsibilities
Lead Discovery: Plan and execute end-to-end research, from recruitment through to delivery of actionable insights.
Validate Business Cases (BCs): Act as the "reality check" for new business cases, ensuring proposed solutions address real problems.
Experience Metrics: Monitor UX KPIs (NPS, CSAT, SUS) and correlate these with product metrics and user behavior.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Designers and Engineering.
Data Culture: Democratize knowledge by ensuring research findings are accessible and understood across the organization.
Phase 1 (Screening): Conduct desk research and quick analyses to validate whether the identified pain point justifies the effort of a new project.
Phase 2 (Exploratory Analysis): Run exploratory research (interviews, shadowing, diary studies) to deepen understanding of the problem.
Phase 3 (Detailing): Conduct usability tests, card sorting and high-fidelity prototype validation to refine the solution.
Phase 5 (Follow-up): Analyze real post-launch behavior and gather continuous feedback to feed the backlog of improvements.
Requirements
Qualitative & Quantitative Methodologies: Experience with in-depth interviews, usability testing, surveys, concept testing and task analysis.
Design Thinking: Proficiency in innovation processes and facilitating ideation workshops.
Research Tools: Familiarity with tools such as Typeform, Hotjar, Maze, Google Analytics or similar.
Analytical Ability: Strong synthesis skills to turn raw data into clear stories and actionable recommendations.
Soft Skills: Empathy, active listening, autonomy to make decisions, and assertive communication (verbal and written).
AI for Research: Proficiency with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) for sentiment analysis and qualitative data synthesis.
Automation with AI: Experience using AI to automate repetitive tasks in Research Ops.
Synthetic Users & AI Agents: Ability to use AI agents for triage and rapid validation of hypotheses (Synthetic Users).
Market Knowledge: Experience in insurtechs, fintechs or digital product companies.
Advanced Data Analysis: Knowledge of SQL or data visualization tools (Tableau/Looker).
UX Writing: Understanding of language and microcopy to improve interface clarity.
