About the role

  • Business Development Coordinator at Sanlam, supporting retail investment operations and assisting managers in strategic initiatives. Focus on distribution and compliance while building relationships with intermediaries.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and assistance to the National Business Development Manager(s)
  • Support of retail investment business in the Central Johannesburg IFA market
  • Contributing to the regional, provincial, and national distribution and sales strategy implementation
  • Training intermediaries’ assistants on processes and tools
  • Building relationships with intermediaries’ assistants and office personnel
  • Support the BDM in execution of sales tasks and marketing campaigns
  • Manage and track new business submitted including liaising with relevant teams
  • Ensure intermediaries adhere to all regulatory requirements.
  • Administrative support for office tasks and communication with clients and intermediaries.

Requirements

  • B-Com and relevant financial/ investment qualification
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the investment / collective investment service industry
  • Experience with Public Sector retirement fund e.g. GEPF, SOE and Municipal Retirement fund administration
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
  • MS Office suite (intermediate level)
  • Knowledge of economic principles, environment and investment products
  • Excellent telephone etiquette.
