About the role

  • Business Development Manager developing and executing strategies for the mortgage broker services division at RPS Real Property Solutions. Building relationships with brokers to drive growth and market insights.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets within the broker mortgage segment
  • Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities with mortgage brokers/brokerages, broker networks, and aggregators across your region
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities using HubSpot CRM
  • Conduct regular face-to-face and virtual meetings with qualified prospects
  • Network relentlessly at industry events, broker meetings, conferences, and anywhere brokers gather
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across broker organizations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic broker accounts, ensuring high satisfaction and retention
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of the mortgage broker market—understand trends and competitive dynamics
  • Partner with operations to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery for new broker clients
  • Never wait for leads to come to you—generate your own opportunities through outbound prospecting and persistent networking

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of business development or sales experience in mortgage services, with a specific focus on the broker channel
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Deep understanding of mortgage broker and brokerage operations, workflows, and pain points
  • Experience working with valuation services providers, lenders, or mortgage technology vendors
  • Demonstrated success managing sales cycles
  • Comprehensive knowledge of residential mortgage lending processes and appraisal requirements
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze performance
  • Proficiency with HubSpot CRM platform and sales analytics tools is a plus
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
