Business Development Representative introducing Relay's virtual banking and partnership program. You'll be responsible for generating leads and supporting Account Executives in a hybrid role.
Responsibilities
Ensure that qualified leads are prospected; you’ll schedule meetings with our Account Executives
Qualifying sales leads through calls, emails, texts, and social outreach to learn more about what clients are looking for from a business banking provider
Pitching Relay’s partnership program by positioning relevant aspects of our product based on the needs of the small business owner and their advisors
Scheduling a high volume of meetings with qualified leads through outbound outreach, you will have a mixture of assigned accounts balanced with the need to self-prospect
Through your business discussions, you will collect relevant information to set up our Account Executives for success
Strategize with the Sales team to innovate and improve the overall efficiency of the sales processes
Requirements
You have 1+ years of experience in a high-volume sales role (e.g. retail, staffing agency or previous BDR/SDR experience) or something similar
You have strong written and verbal communication skills
You are highly articulate via phone, email, and face-to-face
You have a strong work ethic with the confidence to work autonomously
You are receptive to constructive feedback and new sales strategies
You are hungry for growth, have a strong desire to achieve excellence, and thrive in a competitive environment.
Bonus Points: You have prior experience in a SaaS or fintech startup, accounting software or a neobank
You have worked with SMBs in North America.
You have experience with Salesforce, Hubspot or similar CRM tools.
You have a proven track record in cold calling.
You're an entrepreneur (started your own business) or have worked in a family business.
