About the role

  • Territory Manager responsible for region-wide business growth in NJ & southern NY. Cultivating agency relationships and ensuring performance metrics aligned with company objectives.

Responsibilities

  • The Territory Manager will work to develop and foster relationships within their assigned region resulting in mutual profitable growth aligned with the companys goals and objectives.
  • By forging strong relationships, they will be instrumental in driving profitable growth and retention and enhancing brand recognition and reputation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to construct and align strategies for assigned partnerships and ensure seamless execution of partnership initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with independent agents and their communities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to develop plans to achieve mutual retention, profit, and growth goals and performance metrics for assigned distribution (agency plant).
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities to expand distribution and enhance brand recognition and reputation aligned with the companys strategic objectives.
  • Continuously monitor and forecast the performance of assigned distribution to ensure they meet agreed-upon objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree strongly desired
  • At least one professional designation recognized within the insurance industry (i.e., CPCU, CIC, AU, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in the P&C insurance industry with exposure to claims, marketing, sales, and/or underwriting within a carrier or agency
  • Knowledge of P&C, Commercial Lines (small commercial) and Personal Lines products, pricing, underwriting philosophies and technology along with sound knowledge of competitive landscape, industry and marketing practices, standards, and regulatory environment as well as industry associations required
  • Proficient in relevant enterprise tools and software (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Tableau)
  • Must reside in the regional area and possess a valid drivers license and clean driving record.
