Responsibilities
Maintaining employee personnel records, managing HR documentation, and ensuring accuracy in HR systems.
Assisting with document preparation and other assigned administrative tasks.
Coordinating training sessions, tracking employee participation, maintaining learning records, and supporting the rollout of development programs and tools.
Handling miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Serving as a point of contact for all employee inquiries and escalating to People & Culture Business Partner as appropriate.
Addressing employee questions and concerns with professionalism and confidentiality.
Facilitating conflict resolution.
Assisting in fostering a positive work environment by providing guidance on HR-related issues, conflict resolution and reporting, and communication efforts.
Serving as the point of contact for all compliance and investigation related activities.
Supporting on-site payroll administration.
Managing document retention, auditing bulletin boards for compliance, and maintaining HR folders.
Maintaining HR systems and ensuring data accuracy.
Generating reports to assist in data analysis.
Supporting digital transformation and process improvements.
Assisting Supervisors and Managers in preparing and executing disciplinary and employment action with assistance from People & Culture Business Partner.
Assisting leaders with offboarding processes.
Contributing to initiatives aimed at promoting company culture, values, and employee engagement.
Being the Site Medical Contact and coordinating with Occupational Advisor for Medical Clearances.
Implementing training and development plans, updating employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status, processing employees’ queries and responding in a timely manner, assisting the People & Culture Business Partner (HRBP) with daily tasks and projects, and maintaining organizational charts and detailed job descriptions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Human Resources, Business, or other)
3+ years of proven experience in HR generalist role
Experience in a manufacturing environment (unionized environment a plus)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Complete know-how of MS office suite and Human Resources Information systems; good understanding of payroll software (a plus)
Great attention-to-detail organizational skills
Skills to multitask efficiently and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to work efficiently in a challenging, time-driven environment
Positive attitude towards challenges and excellent problem-solving skills
Strategic thinking and mindset to contribute effectively to the Human Resources department
