Responsibilities
End-to-end ownership of the hiring process using Ashby
Partner with hiring managers on job scoping and alignment
Conduct first-round interviews
Lead and continuously improve onboarding, including technical setups
Own all internal tools: Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, Personio, Ashby, HeyData, 1Password and more
Manage user access, permissions, and security standards
Lead all technical onboarding and offboarding
Manage hardware through our leasing partner Fleet
Build and maintain automations to streamline workflows
Continuously improve systems, documentation, and operational efficiency
Maintain and develop people processes, policies, documentation, and compliance
Coordinate payroll changes, benefits, and contract updates
Support performance cycles and day-to-day employee inquiries
Act as a trusted partner for employees and managers
Manage accurate employee data across HRIS tools
Prepare contracts, letters, and confirmations
Support basic labor-law administrative workflows
Keep our office functional, organized, and inviting
Manage incoming mail via Caya
Order snacks, drinks, and supplies
Coordinate vendors and handle daily office needs
Drive engagement, well-being, and DEI initiatives
Take ownership of our large annual Summer Offsite and our winter onsite
Support internal communication, rituals, and cultural moments
Requirements
3+ years of experience in People Operations, Project Management, Office Management, Systems Administration, or a similar generalist role with broad operational responsibility
Strong technical affinity and enthusiasm for tools, workflows, and automation
Independent working style with excellent structure and ownership
Ability to support employees and managers with a solution-oriented mindset
Strong prioritization, organization, and self-management skills
Solid understanding of HR fundamentals, labor law basics, and compliance
Excellent English and German skills (C1+)
Based in Berlin or willing to relocate (hybrid role with occasional office presence)
