About the role

  • People & Culture Lead managing hiring, systems administration, and people operations for energy management platform. Focus on building scalable processes in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end ownership of the hiring process using Ashby
  • Partner with hiring managers on job scoping and alignment
  • Conduct first-round interviews
  • Lead and continuously improve onboarding, including technical setups
  • Own all internal tools: Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, Personio, Ashby, HeyData, 1Password and more
  • Manage user access, permissions, and security standards
  • Lead all technical onboarding and offboarding
  • Manage hardware through our leasing partner Fleet
  • Build and maintain automations to streamline workflows
  • Continuously improve systems, documentation, and operational efficiency
  • Maintain and develop people processes, policies, documentation, and compliance
  • Coordinate payroll changes, benefits, and contract updates
  • Support performance cycles and day-to-day employee inquiries
  • Act as a trusted partner for employees and managers
  • Manage accurate employee data across HRIS tools
  • Prepare contracts, letters, and confirmations
  • Support basic labor-law administrative workflows
  • Keep our office functional, organized, and inviting
  • Manage incoming mail via Caya
  • Order snacks, drinks, and supplies
  • Coordinate vendors and handle daily office needs
  • Drive engagement, well-being, and DEI initiatives
  • Take ownership of our large annual Summer Offsite and our winter onsite
  • Support internal communication, rituals, and cultural moments

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in People Operations, Project Management, Office Management, Systems Administration, or a similar generalist role with broad operational responsibility
  • Strong technical affinity and enthusiasm for tools, workflows, and automation
  • Independent working style with excellent structure and ownership
  • Ability to support employees and managers with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong prioritization, organization, and self-management skills
  • Solid understanding of HR fundamentals, labor law basics, and compliance
  • Excellent English and German skills (C1+)
  • Based in Berlin or willing to relocate (hybrid role with occasional office presence)
