About the role

  • Learning & Development Specialist at Octopus Energy Spain focusing on training and talent acquisition. Driving onboarding and fostering a learning culture within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring managers and department leads to identify skill gaps and design impactful training paths (soft skills, leadership, and technical onboarding).
  • Elevate our "Octo-onboarding," ensuring every new joiner feels welcomed, informed, and ready to succeed from day one.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes for specific roles, from sourcing and interviewing to offer management, ensuring a perfect cultural fit.
  • Drive initiatives that foster a continuous learning mindset and strengthen our culture across the Spanish team.
  • Track and analyze L&D metrics (training ROI, participation, and feedback) to constantly improve the quality of our development programs.
  • Facilitate workshops and create engaging content/resources for our internal knowledge base.
  • Work closely with our international Talent & People teams to align development strategies and share best practices.
  • Manage training logistics, coordinate with external providers, use our ATS (Lever) for hiring, and help with contracts… we all pitch in!

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in People/HR roles, with a strong focus on Learning & Development, training coordination, or talent management.
  • Proven ability to manage recruitment processes (end-to-end) and identify top-tier talent.
  • Passion for creating world-class learning experiences; you care deeply about how people learn and grow.
  • Experience working with ATS tools (Lever) and ideally some exposure to LMS (Learning Management Systems) or content creation tools.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity; you are hands-on, solutions-focused, and love turning "we should do this" into "it's done."
  • Strong skills to build trust and credibility with managers to diagnose team needs effectively.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (B2–C1 level or higher).
