About the role
- Legal Counsel providing comprehensive legal advice to Nutrien's agricultural operations. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely, accurate, solutions focused and commercially oriented legal advice
- Work with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and contracts professionals
- Develop and maintain relationships with an extensive network of colleagues and stakeholders
- Identify and advise on legal, regulatory and compliance related risks
- Monitor and advise of changes to laws and regulations
- Collaborate with various functions to develop strategies for legal support
Requirements
- Membership of a Bar Association in the U.S.
- 10+ years of relevant experience
- Significant in-house counsel experience combined with law firm experience is preferred
- Experience advising agricultural businesses is also preferred
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage tight timelines and balance competing priorities
