About the role
- Legal Counsel managing complex liability claims for Zurich's international clients. Collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver excellent service and innovative insurance solutions in Zurich, Switzerland.
Responsibilities
- Delivering an end-to-end claims service
- Direct contact with our policyholders, brokers, captive insurers, co-insurers and reinsurers, external counsel and other service providers
- Handling national and international program liability claims
- Leading negotiations and litigation matters
- Managing external service providers
- Ensuring the exchange of information with management and other business units
- Representing the International Claims department in projects
Requirements
- Swiss university law degree
- Professional experience as Legal Counsel in liability and/or solid knowledge of insurance law, with an interest in expanding into new legal areas
- Team-oriented, self-reliant, resilient and dynamic personality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English, and strong negotiation abilities are required
