About the role

  • Senior Legal Counsel shaping legal strategies for EMEA at cybersecurity company Horizon3.ai. Responsible for commercial contracts, compliance, and building legal frameworks during pre-IPO phase.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate, draft, and review a variety of commercial contracts, including services, supply, and licensing agreements.
  • Develop and implement processes related to contract management and compliance to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage compliance matters, including privacy, antitrust, and anti-corruption regulations.
  • Work on government relations matters regarding state, federal and other government-related opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide proactive legal advice and solutions that align with business objectives, employment best practices and assist with entity management.
  • Support the company’s growth and strategy during the pre-IPO phase, helping to establish robust legal frameworks in EMEA.
  • Provide guidance on risk assessment and management, ensuring compliance and best practices are followed.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and dynamic working environment within the legal team and the broader organization.

Requirements

  • Law Degree from a European university and post graduate qualification
  • 8-10 years of experience as a commercial attorney, with a focus on contract negotiation and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of privacy, antitrust, and anti-corruption laws and experience applying them in a commercial context.
  • Ability to assist with and knowledge of employment law and international expansion matters
  • Proven ability to build and implement legal processes in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility and agility in adapting to the dynamic environment of a late-stage start-up
  • Fluency in English as well as other additional European languages a plus
  • Ability to adapt with a good sense of humor is a huge plus!
