About the role

  • Sr. Employee Relations Advisor conducting employee investigations at Mondelēz International in Chicago. Collaborating with key stakeholders and ensuring compliance with U.S. employment laws.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct timely, thorough, and objective investigations into employee relations and compliance allegations, including allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, policy violations, and other potential HR or Compliance policy violations.
  • Develop comprehensive investigation plans, including identifying key witnesses, gathering relevant documentation, and conducting interviews.
  • Prepare detailed and well-written investigation reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and impartiality throughout the investigation process.
  • Collaborate closely with Chief Counsel Regional Compliance & Ethics, HR People Leads, Legal Counsel, and business stakeholders to ensure appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations matters, including policy interpretation and conflict resolution.
  • Stay up to date on relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Identify trends and patterns in employee relations issues and recommend proactive solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs on topics such as harassment prevention, conflict resolution, and workplace conduct.
  • Maintain accurate and organized investigation records.

Requirements

  • Relevant HR/ Employee Relations experience with at least 4+ years of experience conducting employee investigations
  • At least 2 years of experience conducting employee investigations in a U.S. manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution center
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administrations, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of US employment laws and regulations, including Title VII, ADA, and ADEA.
  • Excellent interviewing, investigation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to gather and analyze information, draw logical conclusions, and make sound recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear, concise, and objective investigation reports.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods industry a plus
  • Ability to relate to and communicate with all levels of leadership, management, associates and union representatives
