About the role

  • Administrative Assistant performing complex administrative tasks for University Advancement. Involves oversight of daily operations and providing support across departments in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of complex administrative tasks involving some discretion
  • Monitors and reviews operations of unit; ensures smooth work flow
  • Serves as informational resource to staff; investigates and resolves problems
  • Assists University staff, faculty, and students; answers inquiries and provides information
  • Gathers and analyzes statistical information regarding department's programs and activities
  • May assist in budgetary tasks including preparing and monitoring budgets
  • Assists Advancement Operations team with various facility tasks
  • Provides administrative and HR support across the division
  • Supports budget and contract management
  • Oversees front desk and mailroom operations

Requirements

  • Requires nine months of coursework or training beyond high school in Business Administration
  • Three years of related experience
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Professional business experience and office management
  • Familiarity with Banner Finance and/or Advancement modules
  • Experience using BI
  • Experience handling budget adjustments, journal entries, travel reimbursements
  • Familiarity with University accounting and purchasing procedures and guidelines.
