About the role

  • People Partner at Manulife John Hancock driving people strategies and talent management processes within the organization. Contributing to leadership coaching and analyzing people-related data.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic partner aligned to organizations within John Hancock to develop and drive the people strategy, workforce planning, talent management, and organizational change
  • Be a thought leader and agent of change with respect to the People function, assessing and sharing opportunities and risks
  • Actively analyze data with the goal of communicating insights back to the business to advise their people related strategies and priorities
  • Proactively and strategically drive talent identification and development processes
  • Partner closely with the wider People function to leverage global scale and contribute to its agenda
  • Provide feedback, advice, and coaching to senior leaders on talent issues and People strategies
  • Anticipate impact of change on the organization and provide advice and education to leaders

Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience across several People Practice disciplines
  • Proven success as a leadership coach with the ability to influence, truly collaborate, and negotiate in a Global matrixed reporting environment
  • Use of data and analytics to drive business solutions
  • Strong communicator – both written and verbal with experience delivering messages to a senior audience
  • Client centricity with a focus on the employee experience
  • Excellent business and professional judgement including ability to drive business outcomes, even with ambiguity
  • Strategic partnership orientation both internally and externally; continually seek input/feedback from clients to effectively meet needs of the organization
  • Courage: influencing and negotiating with all partners both within and outside assigned client groups
