About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality teacher guides, student books, and supplementary materials for structured pedagogy programs.
  • Ensure materials are informed by evidence on the science of teaching.
  • Optimize materials for all students, including those with learning differences.
  • Maintain high standards for material formatting and design.
  • Support the development of impactful training materials.
  • Lead and/or assist in planning and delivering training sessions.
  • Provide ongoing monitoring and coaching to country teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in international development, education, or nonprofit sectors.
  • Thorough knowledge of research and policy relating to foundational learning.
  • Understanding of curriculum development and design of teaching materials.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting foundational literacy programs.
  • Proven track record of overseeing quality of work.
  • Outstanding organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission of the Luminos Fund.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Well-developed negotiation and communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
