About the role
- Director of Veterinary Quality ensuring veterinary excellence at Banfield Pet Hospital in Colorado markets. Championing quality and overseeing veterinary operations to meet standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure care delivered in market assigned hospitals meet industry and Banfield quality standards.
- Partner with Vice Presidents Veterinary Quality and Area Chiefs of Staff ensuring execution of veterinary initiatives.
- Serve as a champion for quality by communicating, demonstrating and driving a culture consistent with our five principles and six domains of quality.
- Drive a successful and growing doctor team through recruiting, gathering referrals, and hiring.
- Ensure the delivery of an exceptional onboarding and mentorship experience.
- Consult with operational partners on doctor risk, staffing needs, and compensation.
- Develop and lead Area Chiefs of Staff (ACOS) to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Oversee implementation and auditing of medical quality programs.
- Work with Field Directors & Hospital Leaders to oversee compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
- Travel to assigned markets and perform regular hospital visits to assess and validate care delivery.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent foreign degree is required.
- Five years practicing in small animal veterinary medicine and surgery practice expertise.
- Two years’ experience in hospital leadership.
- Five years’ experience in multi-location veterinary management.
- An active veterinary license in good standing is required for every state in which they oversee hospitals.
