Responsibilities
- As an IT Business Partner (m/f/x), you act as the central interface between the business and IT.
- Advising our business units and the company on digital transformation initiatives and ensuring effective business-IT alignment in the area of warehousing & logistics to increase efficiency and drive innovation.
- Steering the development and implementation of business strategies from an IT perspective in close coordination with executive management.
- Identifying and evaluating new IT trends and technologies to enable new business opportunities and foster innovation.
- Monitoring the activities of all IT units within the warehousing & logistics domain.
- Participating in transformation initiatives and overseeing the portfolio of requirements, projects and services in the warehousing & logistics business area.
- Leading change management initiatives, applying structured methods and overcoming barriers and silos.
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including executive management) and supporting decision-making processes.
- Ensuring compliance with governance policies and risk management processes.
- Initiating and managing innovation and digitization projects, evaluating and validating new ideas, technologies and trends.
- Facilitating process workshops and ensuring sustainable and transparent documentation.
- Mentoring consulting resources and architects, promoting collaboration and professional development.
- Representing the company at conferences, industry forums and through thought-leadership activities.
Requirements
- Degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, Computer Science or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in IT strategy & consulting in a similar role (e.g., Business Consultant, Business Partner) in an international environment or a larger medium-sized company in adjacent business areas (warehousing & logistics).
- Proven experience leading complex tasks in a global business environment.
- Advanced problem-solving skills with a holistic, technology-neutral perspective, providing strategic clarity and cross-functional insights.
- Ability to influence decisions without formal authority through clear recommendations based on technical feasibility, cost–benefit analysis and business impact.
- Strategic thinking and business acumen within your own domain.
- E2E (end-to-end) cross-functional thinking, mindset and solution conception.
- Strong communication skills & stakeholder engagement, particularly with C‑suite level executives.
- Consulting and moderation skills (including presentations).
- Adaptability & continuous learning to keep pace with industry trends and regulatory changes.
- Residence in Germany (no visa sponsorship provided).
- Fluent in German and English; any other European language at B2 level is an advantage.
