Team Manager for Carer Support and Fostering Recruitment at Barnet Council managing child safeguarding and fostering processes. Leading a multi-agency team to support children and their families.
Responsibilities
Responsible for supporting children and their families within Kinship arrangements
Manage all private fostering referrals and arrangements within the borough
Ensure timely and robust screening and allocation of referrals from various children’s teams
Ensure robust support packages that support Kinship arrangements in providing permanency for children
Increase the number of excellent quality Foster Carers for children and young people
Work alongside Marketing Officers, Recruitment Coordinators, and assessing Social Workers
Responsible for screening and quality assurance of prospective Foster Carers from enquiry through to approval
Ensure teams are well supported and receive regular reflective supervision as part of their roles
Requirements
Qualified social worker with a minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience, preferably in a statutory setting
Highly organised and able to deliver to deadlines
Ability to work independently whilst maintaining a team and whole service focus
Track record of excellent knowledge and understanding of complex child safeguarding
Strong grasp of relevant legislation
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience or sound understanding of social worker supervision and change management
