About the role

  • People & Culture Intern assisting with HR operations, talent acquisition, and employee engagement. Hands-on role in a fast-growing, high-performance organization focused on people and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including documentation, checklists, and coordination.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate employee records, HR trackers, and internal databases.
  • Support audits, documentation updates, and general HR administration.
  • Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Support hiring activities across teams by coordinating interviews and communicating with candidates.
  • Assist with candidate screening tasks and interview logistics.
  • Support employer branding initiatives such as job postings, career pages, and hiring communications.
  • Help ensure a positive and professional candidate experience from start to finish.
  • Support the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives, internal events, and wellness activities.
  • Assist with internal communications related to People programs and initiatives.
  • Support culture-building activities and initiatives across teams.
  • Assist the People team during performance review cycles (goal-setting, QPRs, documentation, reporting).
  • Support preparation of performance-related trackers, reports, and materials.
  • Assist with learning, development, and internal capability-building initiatives.
  • Conduct research on HR best practices, labour laws, engagement trends, and people programs.
  • Support People Analytics tasks such as data cleaning, simple reporting, and insights gathering.
  • Assist with process improvement initiatives, SOP documentation, and new People projects.
  • Provide administrative and operational support across the People & Culture team as needed.
  • Support ad-hoc People initiatives and cross-functional projects.
  • Learn and contribute across different People functions rather than being limited to a single area.

Requirements

  • A recent graduate with a strong interest in People, HR, Culture, or Organisational Development.
  • Curious and eager to learn across multiple People & Culture disciplines.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Proactive, reliable, and willing to take ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Positive attitude, collaborative mindset, and openness to feedback.
  • Creative thinker interested in improving how people experience work.
  • Basic proficiency in Google Workspace; familiarity with HR tools is a plus but not required.
  • You bring positive energy, are comfortable with change and can effectively manage your workload.
  • Finally, you are an out-of-the-box thinker and think of new ways to disrupt the status quo.
