Responsibilities
Research, analyze, and assess business opportunities, consistent with company long-range and strategic goals.
Evaluate opportunities through conducting financial feasibility studies, market research, and competitive analysis.
Maintain professional relationships with existing clients and develop new client contacts in the assigned market.
Keep abreast of development plans of existing clients and challenges they face.
Identify new opportunities and work with the technical teams to grow profitable revenue for the company.
Manage assigned pursuits, resources, schedules, and lead pursuit teams.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities and assignments.
Translate capture objectives into a schedule and series of activities to meet the required outcomes.
Coordinate and work with KBR counterparts on cross-organizational synergy bids.
Team development and management (subcontracting).
Briefing leadership on strategy, capture status, teaming, milestone reviews, etc.
Developing call plans, executing customer calls, and documenting interactions in call reports.
Using information learned through research and client interactions to develop win strategies and solutions and effectively communicating these to the proposal operations team.
Some travel will be required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, business, communications, or related field
12+ years of industry experience including 6+ years of experience in business development
Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold an Active Secret security clearance
Clear and compelling writing, strategic thinking, and project management skills
Strong work ethic with the willingness to work overtime including nights and weekends on short notice
Excellent communication/presentation skills including exceptional persuasive writing skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook
Superior organization and follow-through skills
Strong interpersonal skills and analytical ability
