Responsibilities
Supervise a team of claims executives and provide guidance and support as needed
Reporting line manager for the Claims team members
Performance management of claims team
Hiring and building out the team to meet business ambitions
Team member training / support / coaching / mentoring
Optimising the culture within the claims team
Drive process improvement
Build a suite of management information to support claims decision making
Build robust working relationships with key insurers
Build robust working relationships with internal trading teams
Use their feedback to improve claims team performance
Expand the remit of the claims team to support other trading teams across the Howden Ireland business
Support the trading team with client engagement as required
Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and the quality of the claims handling processing
Communicate with clients, stakeholders and other departments to manage claims effectively.
Requirements
5+ years relevant experience within the insurance industry, working in a claims environment and ideally at a Team Lead or Manager level
Minimum CIP qualification in insurance
Demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and effectively manage teams in a dynamic environment
Skilled in providing guidance and support for professional growth, fostering a culture of continuous learning
Maintains a high level of integrity and upholds strong ethical principles in all professional interactions
