Business Development Lead for integrated energy solutions at Hitachi Energy, expanding market presence across Norway, Finland, Sweden, and Denmark. Engage customers and develop innovative solutions for energy optimization.
Responsibilities
Build and nurture early‑stage customer engagement to develop a high‑quality pipeline across Energy Management Systems (EMS), BESS, medium‑voltage solutions, plant electrification, industrial optimization and more.
Cultivate and expand relationships with key customer segments, promoting our strategic direction and portfolio to deliver maximum value.
Identify new markets and segments by listening closely to customer needs and monitoring market and technology trends.
Co‑create end‑to‑end solutions together with customers and ecosystem partners to address complex industrial and energy challenges.
Drive the rollout of innovative business models such as long‑term partnerships, exclusive developments, Frame Agreements, Capacity Reservation Agreements and the Base Load concept.
Strengthen Hitachi Energy’s capability to deliver optimized, technically sound and commercially valuable solutions.
Establish and maintain long‑term strategic partnerships with parallel industries and key suppliers to enhance our system‑level offering.
Lead the development and implementation of integrated solutions using an expanded portfolio of Hitachi and third‑party technologies.
Requirements
Experience in business development, solution sales, or strategic commercial roles within the energy sector.
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
Proven experience engaging customers early, understanding business drivers, and transforming insights into concrete opportunities.
Great communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, as well as having an ability to navigate complex matrix organizations and drive cross-functional collaboration.
Good understanding of energy systems such as EMS, BESS, medium‑voltage solutions, electrification, or related fields.
Comfortable working with innovative and evolving business models, partnerships, and long‑term agreements.
Strategic mindset with a collaborative, co‑creation‑oriented way of working.
A proactive, curious, and solution‑driven approach to developing new markets and opportunities.
