Human Resources Intern will support HR projects and operations at Berkshire Hathaway GUARD Insurance Companies in Wilkes-Barre, PA with real-world HR experience and mentorship opportunities.
Responsibilities
Managing and monitoring the official HR inbox, responding to routine inquiries and escalating as appropriate
Supporting HR project work focused on process improvements, policies, and documentation
Assisting with the creation and maintenance of HR policies, procedures, and internal resources
Supporting leave of absence communications and related employee materials
Assisting with compliance and legal updates, including research and documentation support
Helping coordinate and promote employee engagement, wellness, and culture initiatives
Providing general administrative and operational support to the HR team as needed
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate degree program in Human Resources, Employment Law, or a related discipline.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Curious, proactive, and eager to learn
Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information
