  • Human Resources Intern supporting HR functions including training, compliance, and employee relations at Granite Construction. Opportunities for development, mentorship, and hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply key soft skills for professional development
  • Participate in HR administrative and office support functions
  • Assist and partner with management on HR programs and policies
  • Draft, process, and distribute information and communications
  • Assist with audits and new program rollouts
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and travel arrangements
  • Promote corporate safety initiatives for a safe work environment

Requirements

  • Currently an undergraduate junior or senior enrolled in a full-time academic program with a related major
  • Recent college graduate with a related major (Human Resources, Business, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or related minor is a plus)
  • Human Resources and/or Project Management experience is preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Strong knowledge of HR concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Excellent consultative and communication skills (written & oral)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to properly manage and prioritize resources and projects
  • Strong decision making ability
  • Team player with effective matrix management skills
  • Ability to work in a high production environment
