About the role

  • Digital Products Specialist managing digital product development from ideation to launch at Faber-Castell. Collaborating with teams to create and optimize consumer digital solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage digital products end-to-end (zero to one), from ideation through launch and ongoing optimization.
  • Lead product discovery processes, including problem definition, hypothesis formulation, MVPs, prototyping, user testing, validation, and launch.
  • Define and evolve product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives and consumer needs.
  • Collaborate closely with Technology, Design, UX, Marketing, Business Intelligence, and other teams to ensure alignment and high-impact deliveries.
  • Prioritize backlog and requests using agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or Scrumban, ensuring focus on delivering value.
  • Operate in scaled agile environments, interfacing with PMO structures when necessary.
  • Monitor product metrics, analyzing data and insights to support decision-making.
  • Run digital product launches, ensuring quality and adherence to scope and user experience.
  • Promote a strong product culture focused on experimentation, continuous improvement, and customer centricity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Technology, Design, Innovation, Digital Business, or related fields.
  • Proven experience (minimum 2–3 years) creating and managing consumer-facing digital products as a specialist, product owner, or product manager.
  • Proven hands-on experience validating, building, and launching digital products (doing, not just coordinating): identifying critical hypotheses, personally building the smallest viable MVP, launching it with real users, and using evidence to decide next steps.
  • Strong familiarity/proficiency with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban) to work comfortably in high ambiguity with minimal structure and rapid iteration cycles.
  • Microsoft Office: Excel — Intermediate or Advanced.
  • Microsoft Office: PowerPoint — Intermediate or Advanced.
  • Advanced English or native speaker.
  • Certifications in Digital Product Management, Product Management, Scrum, Product Owner, UX, or Design Thinking (desirable).
  • Experience in technology companies, startups, innovation teams, or early-stage product environments (desirable).
  • Basic, Intermediate, or Advanced German (desirable).
