About the role

  • Director of HRIS overseeing HR technology, data, and reporting capabilities for a new company. Leading transition from parent-company dependencies while establishing an Oracle Cloud HCM ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the people systems and data workstream for the company spinout, including separation planning, data migration, parallel testing, and Day 1 readiness.
  • Partner with Legal, IT, Finance, and external vendors to support TSA execution, system disentanglement, and transition milestones.
  • Identify risks related to people data, payroll, and reporting data interfaces or system continuity and proactively implement mitigation plans.
  • Ensure a smooth employee experience throughout the transition with minimal disruption to pay, benefits, timekeeping, and reporting.
  • Partner with IT to ensure appropriate security, access controls, integrations, and data privacy standards from Day 1.
  • Own the end-to-end strategy, governance, and roadmap for all People Team systems, including Oracle Cloud HCM.
  • Oversee the delivery of projects, enhancements, and upgrades for Oracle, ensuring scope, timelines, quality and outcomes are met.
  • Own downstream integrations between Oracle and enterprise systems or external vendors.
  • Manage day-to-day operational support, issue resolution, and system maintenance across platforms.
  • Manage a team that collaborates cross functionally within HR to deliver products and solutions for various modules.
  • Find ways to make work more efficient for HR and other stakeholders using the system.
  • Lead large and often highly complex product launches by working with relevant stakeholders to develop launch plans.
  • Lead post-launch reviews and drive incorporation of feedback in future product release.
  • Manage enhancement tickets and prioritizes with team based on needs of the business.
  • Establish foundational people data models, metrics, and reporting for a new standalone organization.
  • Define and standardize workforce KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting.
  • Deliver insights related to headcount, labor costs, turnover, and workforce composition.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all systems and reporting outputs.
  • Establish and enforce people data governance standards and ensure the highest level of data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to employee data.
  • Act as the escalation point for data or system issues impacting payroll, compliance or reporting.
  • Complies with SOX reporting key controls to ensure there are no deficiencies in data governance.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in HR IT delivery and operations, with deep expertise in Oracle Cloud HCM or comparable enterprise HCM platforms.
  • 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing HR Systems staff, including performance management, coaching, and workload oversight.
  • Spinout, carve-out, or large-scale transformation experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end HR processes, data, and systems.
  • Experience managing vendors, system integrators, and outsourced service providers.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Project management certification (PMP, Agile, SAFe, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of payroll, benefits, and HR data dependencies.
