About the role

  • Key Account Manager responsible for managing key accounts and developing client relationships. Working with stakeholders to ensure strategic growth in the payment sector.

Responsibilities

  • Manage key accounts in day-to-day operations and drive their strategic development.
  • Develop existing key accounts, identify growth opportunities, and build sustainable customer relationships.
  • Prepare proposals, conduct contract negotiations, and support rollouts and customer projects.
  • Manage customer projects, coordinate internal stakeholders, and ensure structured implementation.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and internal departments, and produce reports and analyses.

Requirements

  • Key account management: You will manage assigned key accounts independently in day-to-day operations and in their strategic development.
  • Account development & expansion: You will grow existing key accounts, identify growth potential, and establish sustainable customer relationships.
  • Proposal & contract management: You will prepare proposals, lead contract negotiations, and support rollouts and customer projects through to completion.
  • Project management: You will manage customer projects, coordinate internal participants, and ensure structured execution.
  • Interface function & reporting: You will act as the interface between customers and internal departments and prepare reports and analyses.
  • Professional experience: You have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in key account management or a comparable role.
  • Industry knowledge: You bring experience from the payment, banking, or financial sector; career changers will not be considered.
  • Negotiation skills: You have experience in proposal and contract negotiations with business customers.
  • Working style & presence: You work in a structured, independent and solution-oriented manner and communicate clearly and persuasively.
  • Willingness to travel: You are willing to visit customers in person occasionally (at least once per customer per year) and to attend trade shows as required.
