Field Sales Engineer for district heating and energy solutions in Germany, focusing on customer acquisition and project management responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility is the further development of the district heating supply at the Sulzbach‑Rosenberg site through expansions, the acquisition of new district heating building connections (house connections) and the standardization of existing contractual relationships.
You support the development of tailored supply solutions for heat, electricity and cooling.
You are also responsible for coordinating project implementation — for example district heating expansions and building connections — with the responsible internal and external stakeholders.
Another task is contributing to the transformation of existing supply sites to a fully renewable heat supply.
You are responsible for customer acquisition and consulting as well as for contract negotiations, primarily at the Sulzbach‑Rosenberg site but also across Bavaria.
You support existing customers on site and secure or expand customer retention.
You develop tailored proposals for heat supply solutions, primarily to further develop the district heating supply area in Sulzbach‑Rosenberg.
You prepare technical and economic calculations and proposals.
You conduct contract negotiations up to and including contract drafting.
You handle project‑ and customer‑related internal and external inquiries.
Requirements
Technical education and degree: You hold a completed technical degree (e.g., Industrial Engineering in Energy and Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering).
Alternatively, you are a state‑certified technician or possess comparable qualifications (e.g., industrial foreman).
Professional experience and expertise: You bring 3–5 years of professional experience in district heating supply and energy technology or the energy industry.
Knowledge of district heating systems as well as experience in planning and executing district heating building connections completes your profile.
In addition, you have gained business/management experience in your previous roles.
Digital competence: You have a very good command of MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word, and are ideally already familiar with CRM systems.
Language and other skills: You have business‑fluent German and use technical terminology with confidence.
Demeanor and working style: You have a confident, professional manner and a strong service orientation in dealings and negotiations with customers and partners.
Your working style is characterized by cross‑functional and analytical thinking.
You work solution‑oriented and independently and are interested in helping shape sales activities and sales processes.
