Responsibilities
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the human resources department
Ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards
Managing team performance, providing direction and guidance, and ensuring operational goals are met
Managing and processing all types of leave requests
Ensuring compliance with all applicable leave laws
Serving as the primary point of contact for employees regarding their leave of absence
Assisting with audits of leave records and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations
Assists with open enrollment, COBRA, terminations, changes, and compliance testing
Drafting and recommending revisions to company benefits policies and procedures
Maintaining knowledge of legal and regulatory changes related to benefits
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR
Strong understanding of HR functions and best practices
Knowledge of labor laws, employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and Microsoft
In-depth knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA, FEHA, and related regulations
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
