About the role

  • HR Generalist overseeing day-to-day operations of human resources department at a large healthcare organization. Managing leave requests, compliance, and benefits administration for diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the human resources department
  • Ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards
  • Managing team performance, providing direction and guidance, and ensuring operational goals are met
  • Managing and processing all types of leave requests
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable leave laws
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for employees regarding their leave of absence
  • Assisting with audits of leave records and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations
  • Assists with open enrollment, COBRA, terminations, changes, and compliance testing
  • Drafting and recommending revisions to company benefits policies and procedures
  • Maintaining knowledge of legal and regulatory changes related to benefits

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR
  • Strong understanding of HR functions and best practices
  • Knowledge of labor laws, employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and Microsoft
  • In-depth knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA, FEHA, and related regulations
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
