About the role

  • Strategic Account Representative developing long-term relationships in the agricultural supply chain with customers. Requires up to 50% travel and strong sales and agricultural knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, strengthen and expand long term relationships with strategic accounts
  • Gain in depth working knowledge of assets, profit expectations, risk management strategies and local market drivers
  • Utilize portfolio of solutions designed to meet customer needs
  • Partner with internal team to position standardized offerings
  • Engage with customers to enable effectiveness of solution offerings
  • Build and deliver on annual customer business plans aligned with business strategy
  • Identify and communicate customer insights back into the business unit
  • Serve as a mentor to other members of the organization
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience in commercial, sales, business development, strategic accounts, marketing, merchandising or related field
  • Agriculture background or grain experience
  • Able and willing to travel up to 50%
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
  • Grain market and commodities experience (preferred)
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM system (preferred)
  • Strong commercial, consultative sales and financial acumen (preferred)
