About the role

  • Clerical support for Health Services Managers at Shared Health, processing job postings and managing employee profiles. Maintaining staffing information and coordinating calendars.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clerical support to the Manager(s) Health Services, including processing job postings and related paperwork.
  • Maintain position control.
  • Register new hires in orientation sessions as required.
  • Ensure that the Manager(s) is/are aware of staffing levels.
  • Maintain information and employee profiles in the SAP and/or ESP staff scheduling system.
  • Update the day-to-day schedule changes in ESP and/or SAP and run staffing reports as requested.
  • Coordinate the appointment calendars for the Manager Health Services and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years previous related experience, preferably in a health care setting.
  • Complete Grade 12 education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Successful completion of a recognized secretarial training program required.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and decision-making skills required.
  • Typing 50 wpm, medical terminology (pass mark 75%) required.
  • Knowledge of personal computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Knowledge and experience of SAP and/or ESP staff scheduling applications.
  • Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, beliefs and practices.
