About the role
- Business Analyst with 10+ years in investment banking focusing on middle and back office operations. Engage with stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver strategic solutions for complex processes.
Responsibilities
- Engage with operations and business stakeholders to capture functional and non-functional requirements
- Translate complex business processes into clear specifications for technology teams
- Act as SME for middle and back office workflows: trade confirmation, matching, reconciliation, clearing, and settlement
- Provide guidance on industry best practices and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with architects and developers to design scalable, efficient solutions
- Validate functional designs and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Serve as the primary liaison between business, operations, and technology teams
- Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to senior stakeholders
- Define test cases and support UAT for critical workflows
- Ensure solutions meet operational and compliance standards
- Work with third-party vendors (e.g., Murex, Calypso) for system enhancements and integrations
Requirements
- 10+ years as a Business Analyst in investment banking or financial services
- Strong exposure to middle and back office processes and systems
- Expertise in trade lifecycle, confirmation, matching, reconciliation, clearing, and settlement
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in capital markets
- Ability to work with data models, SQL for analysis, and understand system integrations
- Knowledge of vendor platforms (Murex, Calypso) is advantageous
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
- Certifications such as CFA, FRM, or Agile BA are a plus.
