About the role

  • Account Manager focused on growing Group Benefits by developing relationships with Benefit Advisors and managing accounts. Seeking a proactive individual with group insurance knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on relationship management both internally and externally
  • Work closely with Benefit Advisors throughout the sales process and life cycle of a policy
  • Develop deep rooted business relationships with both current and new Benefit Advisors
  • Ability to problem solve a variety of items from customer satisfaction to large financial decisions
  • Assist in the development of Benefit Advisors

Requirements

  • Ideally 2+ years of experience in the field of group insurance
  • Thorough knowledge of group life insurance, healthcare insurance, disability insurance, and underwriting
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Excellent mathematical skills
  • Undergraduate diploma or equivalent ideal
  • Ability to act quickly and put forward innovative solutions
  • Ability to work and adapt in a fast‐paced and evolving environment
  • Strong sales and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle, given the travel needs
  • Designation of C.A.A.S. [certified group benefits advisor], GBA (Group Benefits Associate), or CEBS (Certified Employee Benefits Specialist) is a significant asset
